FABRIC TRENDS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2024
We did it, folks! We’re nearing the very end of another Wisconsin winter (mild, though it was!) and just as our outdoor landscape is changing, so, too, are this year’s home trends.
One key design element we’re watching this year is fabric – from luxurious silks and metallics to bold and citrusy colors. Fabrics influence so much when it comes to style, and can instantly elevate a home’s mood, ambiance and decor.
This month, we’re sharing our top fabric trends to watch out for in 2024! With just a pop of color or texture, fabrics are here to make an impact in your home this year.
TOP FABRIC TRENDS OF 2024
Southwest-Inspired
Earthy reds, oranges and yellows. Dusty tans and blues. When it comes to southwest-infused style, the colors (often combined in a traditional southwest pattern) immediately come to mind. This year, these earthy tones are making a bold entrance into the home fabric arena. In fact, these warm and cozy colors are popping up all over the home scene, from golden pillows to dusty red throw blankets. We love this look for its instant color boost in a space, but also for its immediately recognizable call to the American West.
Sustainability
Sustainability has been a trend long before 2024, but we expect to continue to see its impact on home design and decor. Think sheets in luxurious organic cotton, bamboo placemats, silky Tencel blankets or a handwoven hemp rug. From top to bottom, home fabrics are getting an environmentally friendly glow-up.
Patterns
This year, patterns are back and ready to make their mark! Mixing and matching patterns can be a true test of style expertise, but the right combination can elevate the depth, dimension and cohesion of a space. Unlike the other fabric trends this year, which tend to be a bit more muted, citrus colors are popping into the 2024 style with a splash. Bright lemony yellow dishes, daring tangerine bedding and almost-neon lime accents are here to make home decor fun, cheerful and full of color.
